Horace Dan D

Horace had his first contact with electronic music in Germany in 1990 as he had the opportunity to listen tracks and dj sets at the regional, national radio and TV stations. A little bit later, he was charmed by the TV shows produced by Simone on MTV Europe where the Prodigy, SL 2 or Dr. Drevious video-versions of the tracks have brought him for ever on the electronic music side. In 1993 with the help of 2 friends, he put together an electronic music band called 4 Me Double; he also started his activity as a nonprofessional DJ at private parties. His radio debut was in the summer of 1995 as he produced the first electronic music show in Transylvania and the second in Romania. In December 1995 he organized the first electronic music party in Transylvania, called Rave Time. Since then, there are over 16 years of playing in clubs and at festivals in almost every major city in Romania. The success of some national and regional festivals like Delahoya, Transylvanian Summit and DJs Gathering is due to Horace Dan D contribution as DJ and promoter and to the CRS organization. The difference between him and other romanian DJs from his generation are the enormous amount of bookings that he had and still has in clubs and at events outside Romania. Just D′Light

Just D′Light

Just D’light, by his real name Tudor Chirila, is a promising new name, part of the new wave of Romanian artists. His first contact with music came at an early age, studying piano and percution instruments in school, but his first contact with electronic music was something different - „something trully special. I realised right away that electronic music was the thing for me.. After that, I fell in love with techno, house and vinyl, which still hold an important place in my heart.” Nowadays though his sound can’t really be put into words, known for his versatility, he manages to integrate virtualy all other electronic subgenres in his performances, from oldschool vibes and deep house to minimal techno and broken beats, creating something unique and exciting everytime he plays; „I always try to bring forth something new and special with my performances, something that would dazle, you could say that constant inovation is a really big thing for me...”. Considering himself first and foremost an electronic music fan, it’s his extreme passion and dedication for music that fuel his ever lasting drive for renewal and inovation. This same passion drove him to take things one step further from dj-ing, so by the end of 2007 he starts organizing his own party series with some friends under the name of „Go out, Plug in”. During that time they showcased some of the best artists from his home country, a project that later develope one year later into Raum Club, which took things to the next level. During the same period of time he also hosted his own radio show – Euphoric Vibes - on Radio Impuls, where he continued to promote quality electronic music. In 2011 he starts organizing two brand new clubnights: an ambitious new project called „Boiler Beats” and a smaller and more focused project called „The Groove Pony”, and it’s little brother - „The Groove Factory” - a monthly radio show on Ensonic FM -where he showcases an always fresh oldschool house sound. His name is also linked to music production, being involved in labels like Magnetik Grooves and Skills Records, with plans to launch his own label in 2012: Audio Mode. In his short career so far he played in various clubs both in his home country as well as abroad, in places like Vinyl Bar (Frankfurt), Camera (Wien), Morrison (Wien), Donau Techno (Wien), Lifehouse (Sofia), Midi (Cluj), Boiler (Cluj), Raum (Cluj), Barocco (Bucharest), No Name (Timisoara), Set-up (Timisoara), Zoom (Constanta), Skye (Iasi), Berlin (Constanta), Stil Beach (Mamaia) or Avi-Cola (Targu Mures) sharing the decks with the likes of Marko Nastic, Dario Zenker, Alex Bau, Oliver Huntemann, Guim Lebowski, Markantonio, Andre Klang, Andy Lee, Violett, Polarize, Mihai Popoviciu, The Model, Horace Dan D or Praslea just to name a few, playing at events like „Delahoya”, „MNML Camera”, „Berlin Nights”, „Connect”, „Iures Festival” or „Student Parade”. So as far as his future plans go things are pretty clear: more quality music and parties!

Rashah Petrovici

Rashah Petrovici

Rashah Petrovici became one of the most known artists from Republic of Moldova in Europe in last few years, bringing a very fresh view of house and techno music in his live performances or dj sets. In some way he started and grew up near the transilvanian Skills Records family, since his debut that took place at the end of 2004 in Cluj Napoca with Zino and Filipash and his later performances at DelaHoya Festival 2006/2007/2011,also at Romanian Electornic Festival 2007,GrandMasterDj 2006(Moldova), until his first digital releases on Skills Records in 2010. In 2007,after almost 3 years of playing at various events in Romania and Moldova, Rashah changed his residency to Barcelona(Spain) and continued his music journey that materialized in his first digital releases on Kaufe Music( Germany)(2008) with the help and colaboration of Markus Ferdinand ( M.in) and a few remixes for Ciprian Lemnaru released on No Border Recordings( Germany) and Progressive Grooves Records( Canada). In 2010 After being lost a few years in the Spanish and Portuguese nightlife and studio work, Rashah got back in the digital market with releases on Skills Records, followed by other colaborations with Moog Conspiracy and releases on CutOFF Recordings( Barcelona) and became a usual face to see behind the turntables in the North of Spain. We can only describe his sets , like he told us one day, as ´´some kind of raw, chicago tech housey tribalominimalo boogie boogie ´´. Rashah was always a controversial character in the underground clubbing scene. Actually we don´t know were he exactly lives in Spain as he changes his adress every few months, for us he is just a humble voyager full of surprises that shares his own vision about music doing it a very tasty, bass heavy, dance floor orientated manner.

Dj/Producer Roberth, with the real name Osorhean Robert, had his first contact with the electronic music at the age of 14 listening to a broadcasting station where Romanian artists played electronic music. Subsequently he began to understand in detail the techno industry with an incredible passion. Very sure of what he wants, he began to buy musical equipment to develop his talent by himself. By the age of 20 he started to play music and 4 years later to produce his own tracks. The Model

The Model

Vampires are cool. Bram Stoker′s Dracula put them on the map a while ago and the stories are still fascinating. However, when it comes to vampire funk and music, I would much rather trust somebody who was actually born in Transylvania. Introducing The Model: born in a small sleepy town dating back to the 13th century in the heart of the legendary province, he can boast a string of successful releases under his belt for some of the world′s hottest labels – International Deejay Gigolos Berlin, Crosstown Rebels, Underl_ne, London and Traum Schallplatten, Cologne. I suspect you don′t need to know about how he′s been devoting himself to his production over the past few years – because the proof is out there. He has opened the anniversary 10 Years Gigolo stage at the famous Klubbers Day 2007 festival in Madrid, alongside DJ Hell, Fischerspooner and The Presets; he rocked on Gigolo Nights in Stuttgart, Berlin and Munich, played all over Germany, from Hannover to Cologne; he headlined parties in Rome, Vienna, Amsterdam and Siberia, killed it at the legendary Tresor, Berlin. He even opened for Moby. I am tempted to use big words and flashy formulas in describing his sound, but I choose not to. Not because he wouldn′t deserve them - he surely does, but I feel you will best understand his philosophy while listening to his vital mixing on the dancefloor. Only there will his true energy be revealed. He is one of those DJ′s who can turn the vibe of a party with the very first track. Your average DJ, he certainly isn′t. This is the sound for people who know what they want and who know where they′re going. The sound for people who aren′t afraid to do something different. The sound for people who lead. Set against a backdrop of refined charm, there′s an underbelly of something dark and brutal that runs through everything he does. Put it this way: The Model ain′t for chilling. As anyone who′s seen him DJ will certainly attest. His production is truly eclectic: he has even produced a soundtrack project for the famous Foundation series of sci-fi books, written by Isaac Asimov. His track selection is as solid as it is surprising: he blends industrial techno with 80′s sounds effortlessly, perfectly understandable given he is an avid collector of tapes and records ranging from hip-hop to death-metal and techno, since 1990.
